It uses a sealed cartridge bearing pivot and is built around an optimized single pivot design which is the simplest type of rear suspension because there are few moving parts. It consists of a pivot just above the bottom bracket, slightly up on the down tube and a single swingarm to the rear axle. Being that the rear triangle directly attaches to the rear shock, the shock has a more linear spring rate and offers good small bump compliance. The SR Suntour XCM 120mm front fork with preload adjust let you dial the fork in for your specific needs. SRAM 9-speed shifters control the SRAM X5 rear derailleur and the SRAM PG950 11-34T cassette, and when paired with the 32T single front ring, give you a wider gear range and more ground clearance. Full chain guide with roller prevents chain drops on near-vertical descents. Tektro Aires disc brakes with 160mm rotors deliver superior stopping power in all conditions. High traction Kenda Nevegal Lite tires increase control over variable terrain and the 27.5 Diamondback SL-7 Doublewall wheelset has lower rolling resistance, improves traction and offers additional clearance over obstacles."
